STEM

To provide students with science and technology related learning activities in the general studies classroom. Through the research activities, students' interest in scientific experiments and literacy are fostered. Their problem-solving skills and logical reasoning skills are improved, their creativity at doing experiments is enhanced, their horizons are broadened and critical thinking skills are awakened and their awareness of science is cultivated.

School-wide STEM-themed activity: Natural Science Expedition Team

Since the beginning of the academic year, our school has been implementing a brand-new, school-wide STEM-themed curriculum. The curriculum closely follows the new science curriculum outline and incorporates elements of local Hong Kong natural science. We guide students to gain a deeper understanding of the precious and protected wildlife in the area and encourage them to unleash their creativity, using their hands and intellect to create innovative projects that combine functionality with conservation messages.

Through the inquiry process of "Plan, Do, Improve, Reflect" (PDIR), students not only grasp scientific principles, but also transform conservation awareness into practical actions!

Unveiling the Secrets of Science

Learning the principle that "vibrating objects produce sound"

Applying scientific concepts of "closed circuits and conductivity" and "mechanical linkages"

STEM Mission

Students become little instrument makers, designing and tuning their own ukuleles. Through melodious string sounds, they spread the message of protecting local endangered species.

Combining electronic circuits and mechanical structures to create a "Linkage Firefly" with fluttering wings and a flashing tail. Through light, shadow, and movement, they raise awareness of light pollution and ecological conservation.
