Our school wants our pupils to 'learn how to learn' and we do this through the subject of General Studies while at the same time enhancing their generic skills. We adapt our curriculum in order to help students develop good values and behave positively while developing their thinking and exploration skills. We arrange annual activities for pupils of all levels during which they get to explore a subject by doing projects. In small groups the pupils ‘learn how to learn’ through having discussions, doing research and cooperating in completing tasks. The topics for the junior-levels are determined by the curriculum content of each level allowing pupils to consolidate and expand their prior knowledge regarding a topic. For senior-levels the general topic for the second term focuses on the Chinese Culture. Our aim is to cultivate our students’ appreciation of the long history of China, and by following the tracks of the past get a feel of the charm and longevity of the Chinese cultural heritage.
