Service learning
1. The school focuses on moral cultivation, in order to instill the idea and morals of serving others. Students are given numerous opportunities to serve their classmates, such as serving as prefects, Campus Reporters, Librarians etc., in the school. Through the ‘One person, One Duty’ class management activity, each student takes up different positions in the class, such as monitor, group leader, subject leader, environmental protection ambassador, etc. So that students can serve teachers and classmates in different positions and cultivate their sense of responsibility. Also, the positive relationship between teachers and students can be enhanced.
2. The school teachers are responsible for the training of Campus Reporters. The training course includes: understanding the reporter's work, interviews, formulating questions, data collection, photographic skills, arranging interview materials, and writing interview scripts etc. We hope that through the ‘Campus Reporter activity, students can enhance their communication skills with others, listen and write carefully, in order to broaden their knowledge and horizons, and learn to care about the people and things around them.
3. Our school encourages students to actively participate in community service, leading students out of the classroom and into the community, promoting the spirit of service learning, and helping students face the community and affirm their role and value in society, so that they can become active and responsible citizens in the future.
